Giovanni ci communica la vera fisionomia del Messia. Costruiamo attorno a noi un mondo di serenità e di pace perchè Gesù, mite agnello, non spenda invano la sua vita per tutti noi, consegnandoci un mondo rinnovato e pulito.

Second Collection: Today we have a second collection for our parish school.
Blessed Laura Vicuña: January 22 we celebrate the feast of Blessed Laura Vicuña, Salesian and patroness of our Pre Kindergarten. Blessed Laura Vicuña, pray for us!
Eucharistic Adoration/Scripture Study: Every Wednesday, we have Eucharistic Adoration from 7:00-8:00 PM in the Church. Scripture Study is at 6:30PM, but in the rectory.
Alcoholics Anonymous: The AA Meets every Thursday at 6:00 PM, in the parish center. “The only requirement for A.A. membership is a desire to stop drinking.” Third Tradition.
St. Francis de Sales: On Friday we join the whole Church in the Feast of St. Francis de Sales, Bishop and Doctor of the Church—and also the patron of the SALESians…that’s where Don Bosco got the name! Francis de Sales, pray for us!
Eucharistic Adoration for Life: As we have done since the very first Walk for Life West Coast, Saints Peter and Paul hosts all-night adoration for life the night before the Walk, which means someone needs to be with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament all night long. This year’s Adoration begins at 8PM on January 24 and ends at 7AM January 25. To schedule a shift during the night, please call Gibbons at 415-421-0809. The parking lot will be open.
Choose Life! Walk for Life West Coast 2020: Join fellow Catholics and Pro‐Lifers of every age, race, and faith from all over California and beyond as we stand up for the littlest among us at the 16th Annual Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco THIS SATURDAY January 25, 2020. There will be Mass at 9:30AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral celebrated by visiting bishop Archbishop Alexander Sample from Portland, OR. The rally begins at 12:30PM in San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza, and the Walk, down Market Street, begins at 1:30PM. The largest annual gathering of Catholics in San Francisco, last year’s Walk drew an estimated 50,000 people. For complete information about the Walk, visit walkforlifewc.com or call 415‐658‐1793. Check out these videos from last year:
Feast of St. John Bosco! January 31 is the Feast of St. John Bosco, founder of the Salesian Order. But, because he is our founder, the Church allows us to celebrate on an adjacent Sunday, which this year will be next week, January 26. St. John Bosco, pray for us!
Don Bosco Study Group: The study group will meet on Tuesday, January 28, at 7PM, in the Club meeting room. The meeting will begin with a short presentation on a Salesian subject, and then will discuss Willa Cather’s Death Comes for the Archbishop. For more information email email@example.com
Wedding Anniversaries Mass with Archbishop Cordileone! On Saturday, February 29, at10:00 AM, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Archbishop Cordileone will celebrate Mass for husbands and wives who will celebrate 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 or more years in 2020. A reception will follow. To laeran more or register go here: https://sfarch.org/wedding-anniversary-mass-misa-de-aniversario-de-bodas . Flyers are also on the tables.
Saints Peter and Paul Salesian School Accepting Applications: Our K-8 Salesian school is accepting applications for this year and next. Call the school at 415-421-5219 for more information, and visit sspeterpaulsf.org/ to learn more about the school.
Saints Peter and Paul School Scholarship Fund: With San Francisco’s cost of living, lack of funds may prevent children from receiving a Catholic Education. The Salesians began by educating the children of the poor, and we are not about to exclude those who cannot make the total fee. But, like Don Bosco before us, we need help. Are there parishioners and/or friends who might consider contributing to the sponsorship of a student who might be otherwise forced to leave? All recipient family qualifications will be verified by Saints Peter and Paul School. For more information, feel free to call Fr. Gael at 421-0809 or Dr. Harris at 415-421-5219.
Salesian Vocations: Could God be Calling Me? OF COURSE! God calls each of us to life, to wholeness, and to service. The task of the young adult is to discern what path God wants him or her to follow.
The Lord calls most people to marriage and family. For the Christian young adult this is a very important decision. Choosing to marry is not just a romantic response, but also a very specific process that includes prayer, investigation, involvement, and experience.
God calls some people to religious life as a Sister, Brother, or Priest. A religious vocation follows the same process. We call this the discernment process. Want to learn more about the Salesian Vocation? Email Fr. John Roche, SDB at firstname.lastname@example.org
Attn: Catholic Healthcare Professionals! On February 8, St. Patrick Seminary will host this year’s Converging Roads Conference: Catholic Medicine in a Secular Society. Converging Roads is a regional conference series offering continuing education for health care professionals that equips them to practice the highest ethical and medical standards of their profession. An attendee at the 2018 conference said: “It was profound to be in a setting with others who share Catholic values and teaching. Professional work can be isolating in the secular setting. The presence of the Holy Spirit was palpable. Thank you! God bless!” Pick up a flyer from the tables or go here to learn more: forlifeandfamily.org/events/cr20-SFCA/

A group of Chinese Apostolates did a Thanksgiving social service. On November 29, they served dinner at the Canon Kip Senior Center in San Francisco for the Interfaith Winter Shelter. After lunch that day, the group gathered at the home of one member to cook. By 6 pm, they delivered the food to the center and served the homeless. Everyone felt graceful for the opportunity of such good deed. Glory and praise be to God.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrimage
Praise be to God! The pilgrimage splendidly concluded. Every group member had a few joyful and wonderful days. All returned home safely.
