Wisdom 2:12, 17-20; James 3:16-4:3; Mark 9:30-37. In Wisdom, the wicked speak of testing the just one until he sins or until God intervenes. In the second reading, James says that the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace. In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus teaches about his passion but the disciples do not understand; he then demands humble service of his followers.
Domenico 25A Del Tempo Ordinario

Detroit has the Lions.
Cal Berkeley has the Bear.
Miami has the Dolphins.
Our own Boys and Girls club has IL GRIGIO.
Grigio is the iconic-mysterious big dog that rescued don Bosco numberless times, we could call this mysterious animal the 007 of the saintly priest of Turin.
After having accompanied Saint John Bosco to Heaven, Grigio did not go into retirement, instead he took up more duties, the protection of the sons and daughters of Don Bosco.
On November 2nd 1893 two Salesian Sisters, Amalia Calaon and Annetta Dallara, were on their way home not too far from the famous Assisi, when they were caught by heavy fog and a fast falling night. They were afraid and they shared this fear to one another.
Amalia shared to Annetta: “Wouldn’t be nice if Don Bosco were to send us his beloved friend Grigio.” That would be quite a gift replied Annetta with audible fear in her voice.
No sooner she had said this, Lo and behold, appear a big dog from the nearby bushes, he was huffing and puffing as if he had come from quite a distance. He joined the two Sisters and walked side by side with them. He was big and gray and his eyes were shining in the darkness.
As if to calm down the two frightened Sisters, the tame big animal raised his smooth paw as if he had known them for a long time.
Arrived at the residence, the Sisters wanted to give their traveling friend something to eat, but the big gray beast turned around and they never saw him again.
